Jing Yang
Jing Yang, a virtuoso Chinese five-string violist, has performed and toured in more than 50 countries. She became the associate principal violist of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony at age 26. Jing won many international viola competitions and she was a chair at the viola department at Xiamen University 2012-2015. After releasing her CD album, “Kulangsu: Through the Strings of Time” 2014, she began touring as a soloist. She also founded her own teaching institute, Studio Vio. She serviced as a president of the Chinese String Musicians’ Association and a Fellow of the U.S. - China Young Leaders’ Forum. Jing studied viola at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, 2 master degrees of viola at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Mozarteum University of Salzburg.
Yang Jin
Yang Jin is a renowned Pipa soloist, having graduated from world-renowned Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing with distinguished honor. In 2004, she won Silver Award in the most prestigious Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music.
As a collaborating musician of Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble, she joined the Great music epic "Layla and Majnun" world tour in 2016, gracing iconic venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and Harris Theater. Jin is an instructor of University of Delaware Master Players Concert & Festival and a judge of the Hummingbird International Music Competition at Eastman school of music.
Since 2013, Yang Jin has led various crossover ensembles, including Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble, Pittsburgh Purple Bamboo Music Ensemble, Helio Phoenix Trio, HarmoniZing, J4 and Summer Wind Jazz Ensemble. Through these endeavors, she fosters cross-cultural innovation and collaboration and has earned widespread acclaim.
Kelly Ye - Conductor
From Hangzhou, China, Kelly Ye received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Music Theory & Composition summa cum laude from Westminster Choir College. She is currently pursuing her Master of Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the same institution. Her teachers have included Dr. Kathy Price, Dr. Rochelle Ellis, and Dr. Akiko Hosaki for voice, Dr. James Goldsworthy for piano, Dr. Stefan Young, Dr. Ronald Hemmal and Dr. Jay Kawarsky for composition, and Tom Shelton for conducting. She has sung under the direction of conductors, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Stéphane Denève, she has also been present as a participant in conducting masterclasses with Dr. Joe Miller, Mark Gibbson, Dr. Ryan Brandeau, Dr. Amanda Quist, and Dr. Z. Randall Stroope. She is currently a conductor for the Melody Choir in Philadelphia, PA, and Spruce Run Lutheran Church in Glen Gardner, NJ.
Philadelphia Melody Choir
Established in 2015, Philadelphia Melody Choir is under the leadership of the renowned chorus director Wanjun Qiao. Since then, the Choir organized and hosted many large-scale concerts such as "Ode to the Yellow River", "Dai Yuqiang Concert", "Wang Liping Works Concert" and “Melody Autumn Concert”, etc. After three years of COVID19 pandemic, the choir is resuming normal activities and led by Kelly Ye as the invited conductor, Philadelphia Melody Choir is now active again to bring more musical events to the community.

Philadelphia Melody Dance Troupe was founded 14 years ago by a remarkable group of full-time professionals, including doctors, accountants, IT experts, and marketing professionals. This dance ensemble emerged from their shared passion for dance. Led by Ms. Weiwei Ma, they have cultivated a diverse repertoire of dance styles. Throughout their journey, they have graced both grand and intimate stages, captivating audiences across the tri-state region with their grace and beauty.
